Epoxy floor

Epoxy floor painting is a medium duty flow applied self leveling flooring system. It’s 2mm finish is more cost effective than heavy duty 6mm or 9mm coatings. It is a great all rounder and can withstand impact, thermal shock and chemical attack. It will require re coating every 7 to 10 years. This product comes in matt or gloss finish and various colours are available. Paint on epoxy comes in polyurethane and epoxy formulas. The polyurethane coating, it is UV resistant which means it will not fade in direct sunlight.

Epoxy painting steps

Epoxy painting is accomplished in six easy steps. Step one, sweep floor to remove dust. Number two, wash to remove any oils and contamination. Thirdly grind to create a porous and lightly textured finish. Step four, vacuum. Five, mechanically mix part B for a minute. Then, mix part A and B for three minutes. Lastly, Step six, apply two to three coats with a brush or roller.
